Who are you and why are you holding the contest?
We are the NeuroHive company, we develop neural networks and create IT products based on them, the main direction is the processing of images, sound, video and audio content. We want to hold a competition to make sure that programmers specialized in Data Science and machine learning will try themselves in neural networks development, and to create a community of neuroprogrammers in Russia. We will not only award prizes to the best projects, but we will also offer them to join our team. This is our contribution to the future.
How to join the contest?
Apply on the website. After your application is approved, a link with access to the personal cabinet will be sent to the e-mail provided by the applicant. There you can leave a detailed description of your project, links to the project's Github page and add a video presentation. If you can not make a video, describe the project in detail and attach more screenshots.
What is a project presentation?
The presentation explains what, why and how you did what your product can do. The best way to do this is to make a small video and show your product in action. You need to describe how your network works. It is in your interest to make a detailed and understandable presentation so that we know what to look for. If the product has unsolved problems, this can also be explained in the presentation, so no one would think that you just did not notice them.
Can I participate with a friend or a team?
Yes. You can participate in the hackathon both alone and as part of a team. One participant can be on different teams at the same time. You can find a team or a partner in our Telegram or Slack.
How will the voting go on?
The contestants themselves choose the best project. Each team has five votes, which must be distributed among products. Each team can vote for one project only once. And cannot vote for themselves. The team can have as many participants as it needs, but there are still only five votes. There is a week - from May 21 to May 27, to evaluate everything and vote for projects you like. If a participant or a team does not distribute their votes, their project will not take part in the contest.
What should my product be able to do?
We want to see products that work with content, its generation and processing. Processing photos and sounds, replacing the background, changing faces. Here are a few examples that could take a prize in our contest:

What does "it has to work" mean?
We are interested in the neural network itself and its capabilities. If you created a beautiful application that does not work, there's no point in it. If all your application design is an "Upload" button on a white background, but that the user automatically receives an interestingly edited photo, we will gladly accept this project for the contest.
Why do you accept only open source work?
It's fair to the participants and is useful for the developers community. The winners will receive prizes, and everyone will be able to experiment with the contest products and learn from the best.
I already have a ready-to-go project, can I put it in the contest?
We don't accept projects that were made before the start of the contest. You are free to use your previous experience, but you should make significant updates to make it state-of-the-art.
Why is the prize in cryptocurrency?
Because we believe it is the currency of the future, and it is interesting to follow it. The winners will be able to immediately exchange their crypto for fiat, or try to wait for further increase of its value. Cryptocurrency is a very progressive idea; it is suitable for making transactions and sooner or later will occupy a prominent place in our life in all spheres.
I do not have a crypto wallet, is it necessary?
Yes. To get a prize, you need a wallet. You can create it on the Ethereum official website or download the multicurrency Jaxx wallet.
